Week 7 of Term 1 was not an ordinary week for the students of our school. The students had the Maths Week of the year. There were four main activities and one presentation carried out during the week. These activities are namely, Bingo Tournament, Jenga Tournament, IQ League and Puzzle Competition. The aim of the week is to make Mathematics a subject which is liked by the students and to show that Mathematics is also an enjoyable subject.

The interested students registered their names to their Maths teachers for Bingo and Jenga Tournaments whereas IQ Test was given to all students in the school. The test was conducted everyday first 10 minutes of second period throughout the week. In the next day, the results were posted on the notice boards. As for the Puzzle Competition; everyday one puzzle question was posted on the notice boards and the students rushed to make it to top three because only first three students were given prizes among the correct answers.

One of our grade 11 Humanities students, Samuel Amaiu, has done a fantastic presentation on the stage during the assembly about where and how we use and apply mathematics in our daily lives such as in the kitchen when cooking, in the shopping when calculating the total, in economics when calculating the budgets of the countries and etc. Thanks to him for his courage.

For all these activities, there were two categories; Primary and Secondary. The first three students from each level and also the best classes from primary and secondary were awarded some prizes. The winners and the prizes are as follows:
