The Chess tournament was a success after a week of competition with the top three winners awarded with chess boards by the school as their prize. It was organized by the IT teacher.
The students were given a week to practice using the computers in the IT lab and the chess boards in the science lab. Round robin matches played after school at the recreation area.
The students were very eager and excited to see their fellow classmates participate in the tournament with winners advancing to the semis and to the finals.
Alfred Warren from Grade11 Science came first, followed by class mate Livingston Tay and Abraham Wambi from grade 7 took the minor prize. The semi-final matches and the final were played by using a chess clock
