Activities
Story Telling Competition The event is arranged for primary-grade students to participate in. During this event, students are encouraged to form groups and either select or create their own stories. Subsequently, they perform dramatic and mimed renditions of these stories on stage, with one of the students narrating the story aloud.
Declamation Contest Primary students tell a story known or their own. The primary purpose of a declamation contest is to foster effective communication skills, boost confidence, encourage literary appreciation, and promote overall personal development among students.
Extravaganza refers to a large-scale, entertaining event or performance that involves primary students. Students may showcase cultural or contemporary dances, dramatic performances or skits, performing songs or musical pieces, or sports demonstrations.
Annis Essay Contest Students are to write a creative essay or a story on a given topic.
Science Fair Students from grades 1 to 12 perform projects on Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, and Math.
Spelling Bee In both Primary and High School, students participate in spelling competitions where they attempt to correctly spell words in both written and oral formats, with varying levels of difficulty ranging from easy to medium to challenging.
Speech Contest Students deliver speeches on topics selected by the Arts Department to foster public speaking skills and enable our students to effectively communicate their messages.
Reciting Poem Competition This activity combines elements of drama and literary reading. Students are tasked with reciting a poem of their own while incorporating physical movements and expressive body gestures.
Sports Tournaments The tournaments are played in primary and high school categories: touchball, table tennis, volleyball, streetball, netball, handball, and soccerleague.
Picnics It is organized once a term. All the grades have a class picnic at destinations such as Botanical Garden, Adventure Park, Crystal Rapids, and so on.
Excursions Students visit sites that are related to subjects or topics they have been studying.
Overseas Trips It is organized once a year. A group of students, parents, alumni, and teachers travel to a country and visit the tourist attractions.
Arts Week Students draw or color pictures on various themes creatively.
Book Week There will be a series of activities like drawing contests, rewarding bookworms, classroom decorations, and book talks.
Maths Week There are several competitions: World Soccer Cup, Reversi, Jenga, Domino, and Bingo tournaments are held.
Open House Parents have the opportunity to visit active classrooms and observe the teaching methods employed during lessons.Top of Form
Athletics Carnival Four houses compete in categories on field and track events.
Musical Talented students demonstrate their abilities in the field of theater arts by staging a play performance.
Chess Week students showcase their chess prowess by engaging in timed games, where they demonstrate their strategic thinking and decision-making skills on the chessboard.
Business Fair Students present their business ideas.
Cultural Show Students are to display their provincial dress and dances in groups.
Short Film Competition Students write a script, dramatize, shoot, and edit a short film.
Teachers’ Day The students organize a series of activities to celebrate the day..
Community Service The school cooperates with international NGOs and organizes food aid, meat distribution, second-hand clothes delivery, and checks for the people who live in the settlements around POM.
Statistics Competition Students survey social issues, present their findings on graphs, and draw a conclusion.
Parent-Teacher Conference It is organized twice a year.
Blood Donation The Blood bank of the General Hospital is invited. Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to donate blood.

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES The school organizes an audition annually for the students aged 12 to 16 involving all primary and high school students in Port Moresby. The top three students go under training to participate in an international singing contest or musicals taking the stage in Europe, America, and Canada organized by IFLC (International Festival of Language and Culture).
